As an experienced IT project manager, you will establish and manage enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives and directly manage all aspects of the SDLC for large and complex IT and business projects.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $160,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:
• partner with architects to ensure alignment
• directly manage all aspects of the application development project lifecycle and work with leadership partners to oversee all phases of the project
• analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies
• rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within the agreed upon time, cost and quality parameters
• create realistic project and quality plans that include project interdependencies
• analyze, diagnose, design, plan, execute and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets
• estimate costs, time and resource requirements
• track all activities against the project plan, monitor budget, schedule and resources used and take action where deviation from agreed tolerances occurs
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement
• identify, assess and manage risk to the success of the project
• identify, assess and manage issues and escalate them to mitigate impact to overall project viability
• provide regular and accurate status reports to project sponsor, project executives and senior management
• participate in procurement management, including contract negotiations and wording
• motivate team members and provide individual performance data to resource managers for associate development and reviews
• operate phase containment by ensuring all deliverables for the phase are produced and meet agreed upon quality criteria, and lessons learned are gathered and documented
• collaborate with other managers within the business units to manage expectations
• assist in recovery of challenged projects
Be equipped with:
• five or more years of recent IT project management experience, including software development as well as the management of large, strategic initiatives
• ability to quickly earn the trust of others, set direction and approach, resolve conflicts, deliver difficult messages with grace and act with limited information and ambiguity
• ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally
• communicating effectively through presentations and meeting facilitation
• organizing, planning, and managing time
• managing engagements with executive-level visibility and interaction
• ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively
• proven ability to manage multiple projects
• maintaining a high sense of urgency and operating with a passion to succeed
• providing excellent customer service
• negotiating and influencing
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• intermediate level of Microsoft® Office experience
• sound business and technical acumen Preferred:
• proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements that resulted in measurable gains
• experience in LEAN, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
• agile project management experience
• familiar with managing insurance industry/claims system projects (highly preferred)
• proficiency in data analysis and process mapping tools
• familiar with managing large multi-million-dollar projects involving more than 15 team members on efforts with significant business implications across multiple areas
• proficiency in data analysis and process mapping tools
• SharePoint experience
• experience managing iterative projects Bring knowledge or experience from:
• qualified candidates have a bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
